Titan Introduces the FlexSpray HandHeld
The power of airless and the precision of HVLP in one sprayer
MINNEAPOLIS — March 9, 2015 — The FlexSpray Handheld delivers the power of an airless sprayer with the control of an HVLP. It’s a highly versatile tool that is capable of spraying all types of coatings for interior, exterior and fine finishing jobs.
The FlexSpray is powered by JetForce™ Technology – a variable speed turbine powerful enough to spray unthinned latex, and nimble enough to spray lightweight coatings like lacquer and stain with ease. It achieves a high gloss finish on cabinets and furniture, special effects finishes for multi-color coatings, and will match a roller nap finish on existing drywall when spraying unthinned latex.
The FlexSpray HandHeld features a Quick Change System, allowing the user to change front ends with a simple twist. In a matter of seconds, one front end can be disconnected and another reconnected, which is perfect for larger jobs, or fast color changes, and end of job cleaning. Each front end is a sealed system that can store paint, eliminating cleaning between jobs or while waiting for coatings to dry.
The FlexSpray HandHeld has two front end options. The patented FlexFinish™ front end is built to tackle heavy coatings like latex, enamel and acrylic with the speed of a 413 tip with minimal overspray. The FineFinish front end is optimized to apply coatings like stain, lacquers and urethanes with precise control and a flawless finish, yielding results similar to a four-stage HVLP. In addition, both front ends are compatible with water and solvent-based coatings.
“Our new FlexSpray HandHeld is like having two sprayers in one,” said Jim Handzel, senior product manager for Titan. “It gives you all the benefits and power of airless, and with a quick change of the front end, it doubles as a fine-finish sprayer that produces a professional HVLP-style finish.”
Titan’s FlexSpray HandHeld is a long-life tool that’s designed for simple maintenance. Wear parts like pistons, cylinders and prime valves are non-existent in this sprayer, and it has a lifetime of more than 4,000 quarts of paint. The FlexSpray HandHeld is a portable and light-weight system for professionals who spray a variety of coatings, like property maintenance specialists, residential painters, and general or light commercial contractors.
Built tough by Titan with 10 times the life of other hand-held sprayers, the FlexSpray HandHeld makes painting faster and easier for professionals who want to increase profits.
The FlexSpray HandHeld is available at Sherwin-Williams stores in the U.S. and Canada. To learn more about the FlexSpray HandHeld, watch a video here (https://www.youtube.com/

Has anyone used the titan flex spray handheld , electric
Hi Amy,
It is still pretty new, if I hear anything from our readers, I’ll post back here, so check back!
Would like to know about this one and the Wagner as well. Looking for something to do doors that wont break the bank and take too long to clean. Airless no good for that.
I’ve had one for about 3 months now I really like it as it is pretty versatile, I’ve used it for toning stain packs, painting service doors on residential jobs, HM doors and frames commercialy, and in my shop for small stain finishing . I’d give it 3.5 of 5 the flex spray gun is pretty much useless as it spits way to much to pain about anything at all the fine finish however a total different story I love it for when your on the jobs u wished u didn’t need to lug a big sprayer on and it is 1uick to set up,do not leave material in it as if it dries out the parts are plastic an hard to clean when it’s cured out and no xim primer big no no. The other issue I’ve had with it is parts are hard to come by it m8ght be different where you are but 2hen you rely on a small plastic or in to seal the gun to 5he tip you might have 8ssues grateful design and concept but make the parts accessible without special ordering. And after a few doors it does get rather heavy with the turbine on top of it but overall I’m keeping it in use and not in a corner to collect dust it’s practical and us3ful. When I used it for the frames it was a huge time saver for me and made my money back off of it the fist day at 400 bucks it’s a must have and doesn’t surge like the Graco gun it was designed after literally an help finish if your close enough to your substrate and if u are too far away it will dry out waterborne too fast and make it all very rough that’s my review of it take it for aha5 it’s worth. If you don’t have one get one it’s handy in the field.
Love it best 300 bucks i ever onvested
I dont have the fine finish tip bit did a stairwell with it and it came out stunning i just wanna go to work and keep using the lil guy easy to clean and ro handle
Thanks Alfredo, glad to hear positive comments!
I might have to pull the trigger (so to speak) and get one of these.
Let us know if you do Mike!
Just purchased this. Used on doors with the fine finish tip. Worked awesome. Thinned primer about 10%. Then top coated with Ultra Spec. Worked out nice. We will be using this with Pro Classic this coming up week. Keep ya posted
Thanks Steve! Please do follow up with us.
Just to update, Scott over at Topcoat Review has his hands on one and sources say a full report will be out in spring, here is a sneak peek..

There are so many projects I could use this for, but I think the first one would be the chair rail for my daughter’s bedroom.
I purchased the flex spray about 1 month ago from my local Sherwin Williams store, I would have passed if they had not given me a pretty good discount. I thought $399.00 was a little steep. Works great for ceilings & walls without thinning. The only down fall is the paint dries in the tip pretty quickly and I need to stop and clean it. The fnish is acceptable. I came from an airless sprayer to this so I was familiar with the settings. Used it to spray deck stain on 300 linear feet of fencing with no problem.
Piece of garbage. I bought the Titan Flexspray handheld and Totally DON’T recommend it. Don’t waste your money.
