EMERALD® LINE WITH URETHANE TRIM ENAMEL

SHERWIN-WILLIAMS EXPANDS EMERALD® LINE
WITH URETHANE TRIM ENAMEL
Emerald interior/exterior waterbased cabinet, door and trim enamel provides an
enduring and premium appearance

CLEVELAND — Sherwin-Williams has expanded the Emerald family of products, its finest interior and exterior paints, with the new Emerald® Interior/Exterior Waterbased Urethane Trim Enamel. It’s perfect for cabinet, door and trim projects where hardness, adhesion and durability are primary considerations. Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel delivers the look and feel of an oil-based enamel with the convenience of a waterbased formula. Not only does it perform well inside, it has excellent color and gloss retention for exterior applications. The new product will be available in the first quarter of 2017.

“When looking for the best, our customers look for Emerald,” said Steve Revnew, senior vice president of product innovation, Sherwin-Williams. “By expanding the line with a trim enamel, we can continue to provide our customers with unparalleled paint for even more applications. This new product is a premier option with outstanding flow and leveling for a smooth, streak-free and uniform finish — a perfect addition to the Emerald family.”

Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel is a waterbased urethane modified alkyd, easy to apply and designed for both interior and exterior use. Unlike many oil-based paint alternatives, it resists yellowing, has excellent block resistance and maintains brilliant color and sheen.

An ideal upgrade option, the enamel is available in satin, semi-gloss and gloss sheens, comes in a wide variety of colors and meets the most stringent VOC regulations. For more information, visit Sherwin-Williams.com.

    1. Wayne, my source at SW says this,
“Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel will come in Satin, Semi-Gloss and Gloss sheens, with High Hide White, Extra White, Deep and Ultradeep bases.”
Let us know if you try it!

      1. I’m painting an old oak table black using the SW Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel as suggested by SW store. I have painted a bit but have brush marks for some reason. Can I sand between coats to help remove these brush marks?

  1. You get brush marks because t does not level.Thi happens because it dries to fast. It also orange peels. I’ve tried satin and semigloss. Got the same results.
