There was lots of schwag!!
The Benjamin Moore Vintage Party and the Sherwin Williams party at the Harley Davidson provided great opportunities to socialize. The breakfast and lunch sessions held by the PDCA were all top notch affairs as well. Check out my Google + page for more!
There was a great variety of tools and product demonstrations. Tommy will be reporting on them in upcoming posts.
The Educational Seminars were very well attended and there was a variety of great business topics discussed.
One of the products that intrigued Tommy, he will be reviewing it soon! You can find kovrd here.
I think Festool was one of the most interactive booths at the expo! Every time I passed it, there where guys sanding, drilling and extracting! Our own Scott Burt was in the booth sharing the advantages of using dustless technology, and as you can tell by Heidi Nyline’s post, painters love Festool!
This was my first experience with the PDCA, although I knew that many of my online painting contractor friends were members, and spoke highly of their local chapters, but I had never joined. Mostly because there was no active local chapter, so I figured, “why bother”. Big Mistake! During the Expo I attended several educational […]
Attending this years Expo was very exciting to me. This was my first PDCA event, and expo. It was also my first time in Las Vegas. The opportunity to learn new things, and meet new people in our industry is always something I value. The short three days was packed with many different courses, with very smart […]
Another powerful social media outlet Pinterest is the latest in a wave of powerful social media sites. Providing “bulletin boards” of favorite pictures, projects, recipes and anything you can think of to share with the world. However, unlike Facebook and Twitter, Pinterest is communication simply through pictures or “pins”. Pinterest offers a sense of confidence […]
Wow, what a day! Started Monday at 7 am with a breakfast hosted by PDCA, where I met Painting Contractors from Canada, Missouri, Montana and Colorado. The day was off to a great start and I was looking forward to more and was not disappointed! My first class was with Burt Olhiser of Vantage Point. […]
The PDCA has done a great job bringing the members of the paint industry together, don’t waste a minute of this great opportunity to network! The team at the Blogging Painters would love to hear your thoughts on business practices, products and tools. Look for the Blogging Painters hats and ask Tommy, Heidi or Scott […]
There are numerous good reasons for painting contractors to attend PDCA Expo. It’s always great to reconnect with old friends and meet new friends and share ideas and tricks of the trade. Plus you get to attend education sessions which help you to run a better business and learn new technical skills, not to mention […]
Next week is the PDCA Expo in Las Vegas, will you be there? The Blogging Painters Team will be there in full force! Heidi Nyline will be talking SEO with Todd Heskett, Scott Burt will be showing painters how to use Festool, Tommy Johnson will be checking out the latest products to review and I […]
While not a topic everyone wants to hear, it is an important subject if you have concerns with risk management. Each month, 100,000 to 200,000 people are learning about the Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule. This is primarily from Lead Safe Certified Firms giving estimates and explaining the dangers of lead based paint. Unfortunately, with […]
I saw three absolutely great ads for painting yesterday from Seattle based, Shearer Painting. Do you know what I love about these ads? The price. One room for about $600. Proudly advertised boldly up front and center. I can only guess at how many paint contractors are seeing this ad and seething as they think […]
