Monster Proof Paint

I love the Entrepreneurial Spirit! I first came across Peter and Izzy on Twitter, and was intrigued by the name and checked out their Facebook Page to learn more. Here is a couple who found a solution to their children’s problems and turned it into a viable product. And thanks to Social Media, they are able to share […]

Interview with an Industry Leader

Recently the American Painting Contractor magazine conducted an interview with the owner of Custom Coatings Inc., located in Hickory, NC.  Joe Brindle started CCI twenty-one years ago and has been running it successfully ever since.  He and his father took the business from a typical new construction type painting company to a focused painting “think […]

Happy Anniversary!

Wow, where do I start? A year ago a painter in Vermont suggested on a painter’s forum that someone should create a site for painters to curate their blogs and share industry information. Always up for a challenge, I went out and bought the domain bloggingpainters and and installed WordPress for the first time. I […]

Content as Commodity.

One thing you should know about blogging is a little bit about creating interesting and at least reasonably well-written content. Most would agree that to use a blog platform at any kind of a high level would imply that you have to at some point hit a minimum standard and quantity of organic content. Even if by accident, it should happen somewhere along the way.

Sharpen your Digital Tools!

Scott recently posted about sharpening your saws in preparation for 2012. I find myself in the same mode, but while he is cleaning out his truck and organizing his shop, I find myself focusing on my digital saws. There is more to the saw story: The axeman went to the saw shop and the shopkeeper said, “you […]
